Fractured Space:                            Sculpture for the Modern World

Starting with Rodin's experimental portrait in clay of Balzac the definition of sculpture broadens over the course of the twentieth century. Artists Louise Nevelson, Isamu Noguchi, Robert Rauschenberg, Rachel Whiteread, Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth and Keith Haring explore expand the definition of what we think of as sculpture and now we see the impact of new technologies like 3-D printers on the world of sculpture.
