backstory: Entertainment for my family in the mid-1950s consisted of movies, TV, bingo for my mom, and the occassional trip to the Jersey shore. A favorite film of my dad's was The Incredible Shrinking Man. Thanks to my Uncle Clifford's lurid details, Fu-Manchu filled me with terror.
