Women and Photography


The new creative medium of photography was wide open at the beginning of the twentieth century and women saw possibilities to participate at the highest levels.


This talk focuses on the contribution of women photographers during the Weimar Republic in Germany, the first women photo-journalists during WWII and the bold women who helped create a new look for magazine photography inNew York after the war.
